The Clos Saint Denis 2012 from Benjamin Leroux is a quite lightfooted, refined and very delicate grand cru. The nose offer a beautiful complexity with notes of red and dark cherries, red currant and forest strawberries infused with a delicate minerality. On the palate layers of rich airy red fruit with lovely depth and a lovely nerve and energy. It’s pure, focused and very classic Clos Saint Denis … and I really adore the refined expression of fruit and terroir in this wine. Best wine from Benjamin Leroux so far … a treat.
