This is the name of the property's original land, an 11-hectare stony clay-limestone plateau with deep soil that produces dense, silky and fresh wines. It is also the name of the first acquisitions on hillsides of Villafranchian gravel and pebbles which express sweetness and delicacy. It has become a single, contiguous area of 30 hectares of vineyards interspersed with woods.
Les Creisses grapes are destemmed with a long maceration of up to 25 days. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature and then aging continues in these same barrels for a minimum of 12 months before bottling.
On the nose, it stands out for its intensity and complexity, unveiling an explosion of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by spicy notes of liquorice and pepper. There are nuances of rosemary, leather, cocoa, and a subtle menthol freshness. On the palate, it presents with exceptional density, powerful and expressive, displaying round and fresh tannins. The finish is long and very well-structured, with a concentrated profile.
