The Vincey family have been winemakers for 8 generations, but it wasn't until Quentin joined in 2009 that production took the form that it is today. They work with 7 hectares in Oger, Mesnil and Chouilly and, since Quentin's joining, have removed any pesticides or herbicides. They have been working with the biodynamic principles for over three years. An exquisite winemaker who creates a wonderful fullness of fruit and layered complexity in their wines. Truly one to investigate as their wines will soon become the stuff of legend...

The 2020 Domaine Vincey Coteaux Champenois Blanc is a rare, 100% Chardonnay still white wine from the Grand Cru village of Oger in the Côte des Blancs. Aged for 24 months in used oak barrels, it offers a delicate balance of ripe stone fruit, salinity, and oak.

Grape: 100% Chardonnay

Region: Oger & Le Mesnil sur Oger

Production: Biodynamic farming, 24 months in used oak, zero dosage

Production Size: Approx. 950 bottles

  • Nose: Dominant aromas include yellow plum, cedar, and pastries, mingled with ripe citrus fruit and warm notes of butter and brioche. Critics also identify scents of ripe yellow apple and gentle smoke.
  • Palate: The wine is defined by its chalky minerality and "absolute finesse". It features a core of ripe stone fruit—specifically peach and apricot—alongside hints of dried apple and candied citrus.
  • Structure & Finish: It is a dry, high-acid wine with a salty, slightly spicy finish. Some tasters note a subtle bitterness on the end palate, often compared to lemon-flavored fresh acids or iodine.
