A family-owned winery in Gueberschwihr, Alsace, founded in the 1950s by Louis and Henri Gross, and currently managed by Rémy and Vincent Gross. The estate focuses on biodynamic farming across 10 hectares of limestone and marl-limestone slopes, specializing in aromatic white wines, long-macerated "orange" wines, and sparkling Crémant d'Alsace.
The estate operates under strict biodynamic principles, focusing on natural balance in the vineyard to achieve aromatic purity. Since 2016, the domaine has specialized in skin-macerated wines (orange wines) inspired by Friuli, alongside traditional Crémant. They use spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and avoid additives.
Biodynamic and organic farming; hand-harvested fruit. A portion of the grapes undergoes whole-cluster maceration, which contributes to its aromatic freshness.
Nose: Features an "exploding" fruit profile with hints of red berries, cherry, and a distinctive peppery note that emerges after opening.
Palate: Described as having a delicate and elegant texture. It is characterized by crisp acidity, fine tannins, and a mineral-driven finish often compared to the structure of a Loire Cabernet Franc.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Region: Alsace
Alcohol: 12%
