Grape: Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria)
Region: Sicily
The Tanca Nica Vino Bianco Yellow Label 2019 is a rare "cru" natural wine produced on the volcanic island of Pantelleria, Sicily.
- Terroir: Sourced from a specific plot characterized by yellow pumice ("soki soki") soils, which contributes to a more delicate structure compared to other Tanca Nica labels.
- Production: Extremely limited, with approximately 200 bottles of this specific "cru" produced annually.
- Winemaking: The grapes are destemmed by hand and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. Refinement takes place exclusively in glass demijohns to maintain purity.
Aromas: Dominated by Mediterranean maquis (scrubland), specifically alyssum, wild thyme, and fragrant herbs.
Palate: Notes of tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit), citrus oil, and bergamot, balanced by a distinct saline finish and medicinal herbal tension.
Rating: Vivino 4.3
